KC Sebli Wedding

Eight months ago, the bride - KC - came to my office

with her mom discussing about her wedding

theme. She pictured her dias theme

based on her favourite color - 

red and white.

When she explained the size of her small dias

(refering to her eldest sister's wedding dias), some

other limitations and constrains, she left the discussion with

the ideas of small wedding dias consisting of backdrop design, chairs,

stage and two vases with red and white

flowers, simple make over.

But it turned out to be...

A simple dias with splashes of extravagant...

p/s: she was extremely surprised when I show her this photo

(at that time Resident of Sri Aman Division, Sarawak)

met me at my office to hire me for their wedding dias in Sri Aman

Civic Centre. With the agreed estimation to create the dias, VVIP table,

walkway and entrance decor, we finally managed to stage the dias

on very limited time due to the hall booking.

When Mizan came to my office discussing about her wedding,

she wanted it to be simple with a modern look. And so

she agreed to hire me to create their wedding dias

and makeup for akad and bersanding.

When the groom called me during the fabulous month of Ramadhan,

I'm kinda stunned knowing that in my practice most of the

time, the bride will call, for my services and rates.  

But in the end, he told me that their ceremony

in Pullman Kuching's gonna be Majlis

Sambut Menantu on 17-10-10.

We finally met

three days prior to the

ceremony to specifically discuss

about the look for both of them. And yes,

I'm excited because Suraya - the bride - wanted

something different - tanned look with free-flowing-Victoria's-Secret hairstyle!!!

Nurkhasiah and Hakimi: Hot Date - Red Hot Wed

A lot

of couples who

plan to tie-a-knot choose

certain hot date for their wedding

ceremony. And this year's hot date is on

the 10th of October 2010 because it will be simplified as

10-10-10.

I was approached by a few couples months ago to discuss 

about their wedding on hot date. However,

Nurkhasiah and Kimi booked me in

the first place, paid deposit and

agreed to all the terms

and conditions.

The actual plan

was for me to create

their home wedding dias, complete

with flower arch at the front door. But in the

end, the couple wanted me to do make over as well.

Attam & Hani Engagement: Purple Rain

Weeks ago, a good friend asked me a favour to create

engagement gifts for his engagement which was

held in Kuching on Oct 3rd, 2010. The

original plan was to decorate 7 sets

of engagement gifts from

his side only.

That was not

the case because in

the end, we decorated 11 sets

from his side and additional 6 sets from

her side.  Engagement gifts from him carried the

theme of purple while from her side was in white silver.

On 2nd day of Aidilfitri, the bride has made confirmation on their wedding

at her kampung aproximately 1 hour drive via unpaved road.

Although the road to the wedding venue got rocky,

but the ceremony turned out to be

very smoothly...

Tell Them Exactly What Do You Want

Apabila anda ingin mendapatkan quotation daripada mana-mana Wedding Planner, pastikan anda memberitahu dengan jelas apa yang anda mahukan.  Adakah anda mahukan Wedding Planner tersebut menguruskan seluruh majlis? atau sekadar mahukan Hiasan Pelamin? Anda perlu menjelaskan mengenai perkara-perkara berikut:

Budget:

Berapa anggaran budget anda? Tell them limitasi budget sebenar anda. Lebih baik berterus terang daripada menyembunyikan budget sebenar anda. Jika anda rasa quotation yang diberikan melebihi budget sebenar anda, berbincang dengan Wedding Planner tersebut jika harga boleh diturunkan. Namun perlu diingat, pengurangan harga turut melibatkan pengurangan servis.

Lokasi majlis:

Adakah majlis akad dan sanding dibuat di lokasi yang sama? atau akad nikah di Jabatan Agama Islam dan Majlis Belulut atau Malam Berinai diadakan di rumah manakala persandingan diadakan di Dewan. Jelaskan lokasi sebenar.

Tema Majlis: 

Apakah tema majlis? Adakah anda mahukan tema Ala English? Gothic? Candy? Garden? Atau tema anda berpandukan warna seperti Red Hot, Sweet Pink, Dark Blue dan sebagainya.
